TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Guests are taken to have read these booking terms and conditions carefully as they incorporate the basis upon which Neutral Bay Lodge bookings are accepted.

 

PRICES AND GST:

Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and are on a per room per night basis. The rates are subject to change without notice until booking is paid in full. All prices include GST.

 

PAYMENT AND SECURITY DEPOSIT:

Full payment is to be made at time of booking and is non-refundable. Payment will be required for the full stay (accommodation value). This hotel requires a credit card pre-authorisation or cash deposit upon check in to cover any incidental charges. This deposit will be refunded upon departure, following an inspection of the room by staff. For credit card pre-authorisations, funds will be returned to the credit card after departure, but may take 5 – 10 days to become available. The deposit amounts are as follows (double these amounts for CASH security deposits): –

  • Valid photo identification is required to check-in, regardless of method of payment.

Payment can be made via cash, credit card or EFTPOS. We only accept cash for arrivals between 9am – 7pm.

  • The cardholder must be present with the credit/debit card on arrival to make the payment.
  • Please note that all amounts shown by Neutral Bay Lodge on our confirmation and registration card are in Australian Dollars. – Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard and AMEX.
  • A 3.5% credit card fee applies to payments made on AMEX cards.

 

ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE:

Check-in time: 2pm or later Should you arrive prior to 2pm, the guest may store their luggage at reception until time of check-in. Check-out time: 10am Late check-out is any time after 10:00am – a fee will be charged and is subject to availability. Minimum lengths of stay apply. Neutral Bay Lodge is completely NON SMOKING.

 

MAXIMUM CAPACITY PER ROOM:

Neutral Bay Lodge has maximum guest allowances for each room, as per the website.  One additional guest may be permitted in some rooms, subject to managements approval. Extra roll-out beds are available for an additional $30 per night (subject to availability – must be arranged prior to arrival) Baby Cots are available free of charge (subject to availability – must be arranged prior to arrival).

PARKING:

We have 6 parking spots available on a first come first serve basis. We do NOT reserve these and have a very strict no double parking policy. There is some off street parking available if you are not able to use our private parking. It is timed during certain times of the day, and we recommend you observe the parking restriction to avoid getting a ticket.

We take no responsibility for any parking infringement you receive whilst you are a guest at the Lodge.

LOST OR TAKEN KEYS

Neutral Bay Lodge provides a key to access your room and the building. It is the guest’s responsibility to return the key on check out. If you do not return the key we reserve the right to charge you $50 for a replacement key to be cut. There is an address on the key tag for you to return the key.

VISITORS:

All visitors are required to vacate the building by 10pm. Only registered guests up to the maximum room configurations are permitted to stay after 10pm (see table above).

NO PARTIES – NO EXCESSIVE NOISE POLICY

Neutral Bay Lodge retains the right to evict a guest or visitor without warning, should there be a breach of its terms and conditions. Any physical, psychological or verbal abuse towards staff, guests or security personnel will result in immediate eviction from Neutral Bay Lodge. All damage caused by a guest will be charged to the guest’s credit card. Any guest or visitor found to be creating excessive noise, having a party in their room or exceeding the number of permitted guests (listed above), will be evicted without refund.

 

EVICTION OF A GUEST

Neutral Bay Lodge will evict a guest or visitor without warning, should conditions warrant including: Intoxication and unbecoming, rude or threatening behaviour, Overcrowding – when the number of persons in an apartment exceeds the number of permissible sleeping allocations (see table above) Physical or verbal assault towards staff or other guests, Willful damage to Neutral Bay Lodge property, Any incident for which the police need to be called onto the premises, Any behaviour posing a safety threat to others, Ignoring advice to reduce excessive noise (music or other noise) Throwing of objects from windows Smoking ($220 cleaning and deodorizing charge will be applied)

 

IDENTIFICATION:

Adequate identification is required at time of check-in at Neutral Bay Lodge. A current driver’s licence, passport or other form of photo identification (ID) will be accepted as satisfactory ID at check-in. Neutral Bay Lodge requires all credit card usage to be accompanied by an official Government issued ID which includes a photo and is valid at the time of the guest’s arrival. This ID may be copied and stored as record that Neutral Bay Lodge has verified the ID of the guest and the guest’s authority to use their credit card. All personal information contained on the collected identification will be securely stored and completely disposed of at the end of its usefulness.

SECURITY BOND / CREDIT CARD AUTHORISATION:

A credit card authorisation (pre-authority) will be required at check in and will be used to cover incidental items such as (but not limited to): Telephone charges Breakages or damage incurred. Cleaning charges above the normal cleaning due to an apartment being left in an unacceptable condition. At check in Neutral Bay Lodge will validate the presented credit card and pre-authorise the credit card for any charges that the guest may be liable for throughout their stay. This includes an amount to cover a security bond / deposit for damages. The pre-authorised amount is held by the credit card company for a period of up to 10-days. The pre-authorisation will affect the guests’ available funds and/or spending limit. For more information on this practice guests should contact their card issuer. The minimum amount of funds Neutral Bay Lodge pre-authorises is $300.00

 

SERVICES PROVIDED:

All bed linen, bathroom towelling and kitchen tea towels are provided. A complimentary selection of guest bathroom amenities is also supplied. Neutral Bay Lodge offers a daily housekeeping service. Bed linen is changed after 4 nights. Should during your stay, a guest require additional housekeeping, this may be provided upon request – an extra charge will be incurred. Reception may provide additional toiletries/towels upon request free of charge.

 

CANCELLATIONS:

Neutral Bay Lodge has a non-cancellation policy. Guest will be charged for non-show or early vacating.

UNACCOMPANIED MINOR/S:

A child who is staying without the accompaniment of a parent, guardian or adult over the age of 18 years is considered an unaccompanied minor. An unaccompanied minor/s may be permitted to stay at Neutral Bay Lodge only if they can satisfy the normal payment, bond and identification requirements. Neutral Bay Lodge strongly discourages the accommodation of minors staying alone without adult supervision for safety reasons, as our rooms may be hazardous to minors staying alone. Neutral Bay Lodge does not accept any responsibility for injury caused by an unsupervised minor staying in our apartments, nor does Neutral Bay Lodge provide the service of supervising and caring for a minor during their stay.

 

LIMIT OF LIABILITY:

Neutral Bay Lodge does not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond its control including, but not limited to, war, civil disturbance, terrorism, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment, maintenance requirements or industrial action.

 

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

In the event that a guest fails to pay immediately upon demand any amount owing to Neutral Bay Lodge, pursuant to the booking and accommodation (including without limitation those incidentals such as telephone, cleaning, etc. set out above) Neutral Bay Lodge reserves the right to deny access to the guest and ask that they vacate the premises. If in the event that a guest has caused damage to the property or effected other guests occupants of the property, Neutral Bay Lodge reserves the right to ask that guest to leave and forfeit any monies paid and will require the guest to pay for any damage caused. If a guest occupant behaves in an unacceptable or aggressive manner to other guests occupants or Neutral Bay Lodge staff, or is suspected of carrying out illegal acts on the premises, that guest occupant will be asked to leave and the appropriate authorities will be notified. All monies paid will be forfeited. Neutral Bay Lodge takes no responsibility for any personal possessions that are lost, stolen or misplaced whilst on the premises. In that regard, we recommend that our guests obtain an appropriate level of travel insurance.

 

RIGHT OF ENTRY:

Neutral Bay Lodge retains the right that, in the event that Management has a legitimate cause for concern that a guest has not been seen or been able to be contacted over a period of time, the room may be entered by the Management or a delegate to ensure the safety and comfort of other guests and our property.

 

FORCE MAJEURE:

Guests and booking agents of Neutral Bay Lodge are allowed partial impossibility in an agreement (Accommodation Reservation and or Group Accommodation Agreement), where the performance of the agreement by either party is subject to acts of God, war, terrorism, government regulations, national disaster, strikes, civil disorder or curtailment of transportation facilities beyond the control of the parties making it inadvisable, illegal, or impossible to fulfil some or all of the agreement. The Agreement may be terminated without penalty for any one or more of such reasons by written notice from one party to the other.

 

FREE INTERNET

Neutral Bay Lodge offers free internet.Neutral Bay Lodge has a fair use policy in which guests’ download speeds will be reduced should the reasonable download limits be exceeded.
